Performed heating maintenance and filter change on a trane gas package unit. Readings: Blower capacitor 14.25/15mfd, Blower amp draw 1.72/2.1A, Draft motor capacitor 1.89/2mfd, Draft motor amp draw .12/.22A, Carbon monoxide 0ppm, Temp rise 80-115. Heating at this time
Replaced two malfunctioning programmable thermostats. System is now heating well this time and set to a schedule.
Performed heating maintenance and filter change on a lennox gas furnace. Readings: Blower capacitor 7.6/7.5mfd, Blower Amp draw 4.5A, Draft motor amp draw 1.8/1.9A, Carbon monoxide 0ppm, Temp rise 70-120F. Heating at this time.
Wire running from furnace to thermostat appears to be intermittently short. Recommendation is to replace wire to thermostat.
No heat. Unit is natural gas, lights and then shuts down. Blower is not coming on and limits out and shuts down. Also not getting a strong signal from flame sensor. Cleaned flame sensor and replaced 7.5?f blower capacitor (reading 1.85). Unit is running well.
Performed cooling maintenance on day & night split system. Replaced filter (1@14x24x1) and checked that thermostat is functioning. Checked disconnect and checked capacitor was within range. Verified that contactor is getting 240V and functioning. Checked compressor Amp draw and out door fan motor Amp draw. Visually inspected for leaks and exposed wires. Checked that condensate was draining. Washed condenser coil. Checked temperature split. System is operational and cooling at this time.
Ductless system with three heads was using only one to manage the whole house. I recommended setting the other two a couple of degrees higher than the main head (instead of off) so that way the heat is better managed during the hot parts of the day. System cooling well at this time with temp splits between 22-25°.
